My gas door does not open with the lever.

LOL sorta. if youre looking at the gas cap, to the right there is the plastic piece with the pin in it. from inside the trunk, you can squeeze the tabs on that piece and push it out toward the gas cap. if your gas door is stuck closed and the cable came out, you'll still have to pry the gas door open. which is what happened to me. i then had to poke the cable through the opening where the plastic piece came out and reinsert the cable end into that plastic piece. to prevent the cable from coming off that plastic piece again, i ziptied it :P

Yup same thing happned to me mine broke a year ago didnt know why the door didnt open i got bad and didnt even get gas that day haha. used to put my wallet under the lever and go open the door with my hand. bought a new clip this winter nice easy fix pops right open now

mines broken on me 4 times in the past couple years of owning it, i said screw it, instead i just put somethin underneath the gas latch, and use a key to open the door at least this way no one unless there in the know, can ever syphon gas out your tank haha
