I'm not using it...was debating on using it but figured it wasn't necessary.

I'm using the ProSport Blue Filter adapter plate hooked up to ProSport Oil Temp and Oil Pressure gauges. Works great so far (~4k miles).

I've used it for 20k. Ran it from a port on the stock oil filter housing and up the firewall. Very much worth it.

A lot of people are using this, but for a cheaper solution, you could also use this :

That is what I am replacing. The brass 45 degree elbow that screws into this keeps failing.

I have it- just take the plug out of the oil filter housing and install- takes just a couple minutes as long as the plug isn't stuck- the insurance it gives makes me feel a little better even if it doesnt do much

Are you lowered? How is the filter-ground clearance?

Yes I'm lowered...I would say a moderate drop nothing huge. Tanabe GF210 springs on stock struts (IX GSR). The lowest part of my car is the QTP cutout which I have welded on my downpipe. That scrapes more often than anything else..just have to know how to go over curbs diagonally.

I wouldn't imagine the ProSport adapter plate giving you any trouble even if you were slammed to the ground. It really dosen't make a difference in the filter height.
