Top Notch Places to take your Evo for repairs
after reading all the horror stories that some of the members have gone through, I thought id make a list of all highly rated places you can take your evo for repairs. I know there are a lot of good places, Im only including the best of the best.
Obviously, not everyone can go everywhere, so the more places we add, the better.
Here's what I came up with so far.
Ivey - NJ
STM - NY
CBRD - PA
AMS - IL
BR - OH
ShepTrans - OH
ER - WA
Please note that Im an Evo newbie, so I have no experience with any of these or other shops. This thread is what prompted me to do this.

This thread will open a lot of debate.
Bring it here, they changed my clutch cheap. Or everytime I change my oil at the place my tire goes flat.
It's a great idea, but everyone will have a different situation.
Yes, the big names have names for a reason. But remember, no body is perfect all the time.

the way I see it, I have a 20 hr drive one way before I get anywhere, to do any kinda major service, and since its a 40 hr roundtrip, I cannot take chances, go back to refix stuff, breakdown on my way back etc. id rather go to the big names, and reduce my chance of it not being fixed correctly the first time. Im sure there are other members in this situation.

Yea every shop will have an issue from time to time. It's how they handle the situation that really means something.
I'm just glad I have the know how and tools to work on my own stuff I know what is being done, what is "REALLY" wrong, and that it is fixed right. If something goes wrong I know about it and know that it was fixed the correct way.
I have seen some horror over the years man let me tell ya.
As for shops in the NE CBRD and STM are the ones that get my vote for shops you can trust with you money and project everytime

The only two places that touch my car other then me are Buschur Racing, and Shepherd trans. Shep is about 45 minutes and Buschur about an hour and a half. It's just not worth it to take my car to anyone but an expert. Both do pretty much any and all work that I can't handle on my own, and both are absoutely top notch!
