i saw a guy a few years back that did just the evo viii. it looked better than i would have thought, but still seems a little short. i used to have the OEM black one before a local tire shop in the NW wrecked my stock trunk. now I can"t find the balck OEM to save my life. just ended up doing a rexspeed carbon fiber one.

You can get one off EBay, but it is some cheap alloy that can be bent easily. You have to be looking for it to notice but my E is slightly bent from a washing accident

It is flat black.

 

Yeah flat black badges on a black car would look great imo. From a far your car would look debaged until you got closer. I'd try it out, you can always repaint/strip the old paint off. Either this or leave it chrome .

Im thinkin im going to go with the black on black...It would go with the people that like the debadge look and it would also be very original and cool once you get close to see it! Thanks everyone for the input. Ill post some pictures for you with it chrome and than after I paint it black. But now the question is flat black or gloss?

 

what do you mean by this?... the SE badge (unless i'm mistaken) is just a sticker..not a "badge" per-say

 

I have no badges except the grill and I always get people telling me, "Nice Subaru".

By this time next year (hopefully this year) I will be flat black and have flat black badges. Right now though I am silver with flat black. It has been decided that I will be getting the evo flat black, just have to get the money together first.
