Power steering pump bad?

Hey everyone,
so I just picked up my evo. I knew that the pump was making some noise while turning and the power steering wasn't working correctly when I bought it, but the pump wasn't leaking or anything. I figured it needed to be bled...which is not a big deal. So after investigating further I found that the previous owner had put brake fluid in the power steering reservoir instead of p/s fluid or atf. I drained the unit, pump as much as I could out and put new atf fluid in it. Now, I can tell the pump is actually working because the steering is MUCH lighter now, but the pump is still making a little whining for a second or two when you turn the wheels..then goes away. Do you guys think the pump is trashed or should I try and take it somewhere to see if they can vacuum the system to remove all the fluid and replace it all. I'm thinking there's still some brake fluid in the system still. Thanks guys.

Might try dumping and filling power steering or ATF fluid through it a couple times to try and flush completely and see if any and all issues go away.

If you mean it whines a little when the car is stationary and you turn the wheel, that is normal.

It's still jacked up. It felt better after I refilled and bled, but drove it tonight and feels like it did before I did anything..like it has no power steering and making lots of noise when you turn the wheel. I know I didn't get all the brake fluid out of the system..but I was surprised that it went back to the way before. Bummer.
