What A Pillar Gauge Pod to get, and which to avoid?

Looking for an A Pillar triple or dual pod for my 05. I'm picky on color/fitment and I can't find reviews anywhere. I did find one review on the lancershop.com one that says its a "replacement" but the review said that it was JUNK and was NOT a replacement.

Can anyone post up what they have and if its good or bad?

ty!

lancershop is in fact an overlay

I hate a-pillars it blocks vision

I suggest the gruppe-s hvac pod or steering column mounted

i had a-pillars before and never blocked my vision. I gave up on looking for one for the evo because i could not find a good color matched, full replacement pod with the tweeter cover.

Might just go the steering column route. Probably easier to run wires as well.

Or you can get the one that replaces the stock cubby slot under the climate controls. It holds 3 gauges and yo can also get it from lancershop.

No one sells an A pillar gauge pod that completely replaces the stock A pillar, however, i bought the overlay from lancer shop, and after a little modding of the stock a pillar beneath it, here's what mine looks like.

I actually had a glowshift a pillar gauge pod for my Eclipse and it fit perfectly. I'm sure they make one for the Evo as well, and the fitment is probably just as good. Their customer service is also outstanding as I had to contact them previously.

In terms of just the a pillar gauge pod, I would go with them and fill it up with AEM/Defi.

I know this is a rather off the wall question. Those of you that say the a-pillar pod blocks your view, how tall/short are you guys. Just trying to figure out where you're eye level is at.

I'm thinking if you are taller, they wouldn't block your view so much. *shrugs*

Never thought about it blocking vision... That does make sense now that you mention it.

Didn't consider teh gruppe-s hvac pod either, but looking at a pic and it does look nice. Guess I'll sleep on it and order either the dual steering column mount or the gruppe-s hvac in the mornin.

Thanks for the reply! I've owned my evo just over a month now time to make it my own!

I wouldnt do Defi. IMO there overrated and way over priced. 8/10 people that have the boost gauge from defi complain of it being 2-5psi off. Idk about you but if I payed $300 for 1 gauge and its off I would not be happy.

I would put AEM in it though all day.

Autometer's A-pillar pod is nice, fit very well in my IX.

I wasn't too impressed with Lotek's in my friend's IX or my wife's WRX though.

What is this gruppe-s hvac pod you guys speek of? I can't find any info on it.

Does the dual stearing wheel pod block any of the stock gauges? I only need a boost and afr gauge for right now.

Also when i go my evo it came with a 3 apiller pod and it did not block vision. It fit like **** so im assuming it was a cheepo brand.
