Lightweight Front Bumper Beam

http://oswaldperformance.com/IMPREZA...UMPERBEAM.aspx

Anything like this going on for the Evo? I'm running the demonwerkz in the back which is way lighter than stock but I couldn't find anything for the front.. JDM evos don't even run a crash beam in the front, I'm sure it makes a fairly significant difference in handling...

should drop about 20 pounds off the very front of the car

bump for any interest in this? the guys willing to make the part if he can find an evo to test fitment on near Tuscon, AZ

We can expect that, similarly for the evo, this mod will drop at least 20 pounds from the front end while keeping the safety (and insurance benefits) of having a front crash beam

Are you sure about the weight of our front beam? I want to say that it's 17lbs, but I'm not positive.

Actually I'm not at all - good call. In any case, this bumper beam would still weigh only 6 pounds, which can be considered a fairly significant saving from our heavy front end, especially so far in the front. I imagine auto-xers would particularly be interested in the product, since I'm expecting the price to be fairly similar to what he charges for the Impreza.

No where near AZ, but have a front bumper support to ship out for free if they need it.

The front beam is around 13 lbs, the back is 17 lbs. Not worth it to save 7 lbs.

I have to say, I think the beam weighs more than that?

Wow, then I stand corrected. It's been awhile since I removed the front one, and I would have bet (and lost obviously!) that it was 20 pounds.

Call me crazy, but I would still buy an aluminum beam to shave the weight by half.

Depending on the price of course.
