i was planning to sell my 05 mr which is all stock, never modified. i'm now thinking of keeping it and considering modifying it a bit but now i'm thinking to just keep it in stock so i can get a higher value when i sell it eventually.

what do you think?

I vote return to stock if possible, but sometimes it seems impossible if the car has been extremely modified

I found a 9 MR with 15k miles on it but it was modded with aftermarket turbo, cams, tune, etc before being put back to stock. Would you guys recommend buying it? Part of me says no but the other half is telling me to buy it and take the risk. What do you guys recommend?

personally i am trying to buy an evo, i am looking for a fairly stock one since i would like to mod it myself and generally an evo buyer would too.
i would say you could make more money selling the after market parts individualy and selling the evo stock
IMO

It depends on the amount of work you have into it and how quickly you can unbolt all your mods. Simple things like intakes, exhausts and what not I'd rip off before selling or trading my car. Extensive internal engine mods, now that's another story...

I will take the parts off and sell it apart. A lot of people looks for stock evos. In my case I look it like that. One way to know that has not been abuse

What gives you the impression that a returned to OEM evo isn't abused?

I would be more willing to pay more for a car that is unmodified. You could also make a little extra by selling the aftermarket goodies.

In my opinion I will put it back stock. It doesn't mean that the vehicule hasn't been abuse. But you will make more money selling the aftermarket parts individually. You can tell when a vehicule have been put aftermarket parts anyway. In my opinion I will buy a stock vehicule because it has not been abuse.

I never intended on selling my first Evo and I'm glad I kept all of my stock parts to throw back on, actually made money on that car. Putting it back to stock and selling all of my aftermarket stuff seperately. It had only bolt ons and i sold it for more than i bought it lol. Just depends on what the market is doing and where you live. In colorado there aren't many evo's which makes them alot more valuable
