Keep in mind, a lot of times half of the mounting brackets/hardware for the stock counterparts are missing or it's simply re-installed in an halfassed attempt.

Revert to stock (IF!)

I have an red automatic o3 oz rally and ALTHOUGH It is just an oz rally i love it
I have done following upgrades
evo wing
17' tires
tinted windows
evo headlights and taillights
over priced greedy exhaust
short cold air intake

I removed all except tinted windows because i plan on getting another oz rally in better shape that is a 5 speed and is black in wich i plan on putting an evo motor in.
i know the difficulty but i got my father and uncle in which are mechanics and will help me out.

One word of advice always keep stock parts. Always!!!

This is a personal opinion based on my experience.

Sometimes the parts will fetch more seperately than they would if you included them with the car.

The bottom line, selling a modded evo can be a good thing and a bad thing.

If you did the work yourself with off brand ebay parts, most buyers are going to be turned off.

Most evo buyers are wading through a sea of modded evos.

That said, if you had the work done professionally, properly planned for performance/handling/appearance, with quality parts, the vehicle will stand out of the crowd of guys who randomly slap parts on the car in their garage.

Of course, some buyers will only want an unmolested evo so they can start from a clean slate.

While a few buyers (a small target market) actually shop for evos that have seen track time.

Reason being, most guys who frequently track their vehicles, spend alot of time and money to make sure the car is in top condition (a failure on the track can ruin your day and even have serious consequences).

been there done it. sold my last evo. seemed to get a lot more for the stock evo rather than the modded evo. in general a non experienced evo buyer thinks its never been messed with and thats the advantage of selling it stock. also the aftermarket parts you then get to sell for aditional monies. to me thats the way to go man but to each his own.

Question for you guys who have gone back to stock.

Do you guys pay to have it retuned to the stock tune or do it through Evoscan etc. ?

I feel that if you do take it back to stock from being modded, you need to let potential buyers know...I am personally in a market for a stock EVO so it will last me a long time (stock cars typically last longer), so that makes the difference in a sale to me...just my $0.02

It all comes down to (in order of importance)

1. WHO did the installations
2. WHAT parts were installed
3. HOW was the car maintained and stored
4. HOW far was the car modified

Quick Reply: Should I put my modded evo back to stock to sell it?
