As an 18 year old with only 2 months with his license I got quoted 6k for six months full insurance...

I should have bought it anyways under my grandmother's name and just insured HER. I could have legally 'borrowed' the evo for as long as I wanted

Wait until your accident goes off your record this year and till you turn 21 to get the Evo. They will review all these factors when you buy the car and then quote you so if they check and you have no accidents and you are 21, that should help a lot. If you get it before then, you will get quoted higher and it wont lower as soon as the accident comes off. You would have to wait until they decide to reveiw your policy.

I live in Wisconsin and I had a 2004 350Z. My insurance when i bought my evo went UP 75 cents per 6 months but was amazed it was higher anyways. I am 26 1 ticket and 0 accidents, married with a house and mulitple car discount and i pay 1050 per year. Was obviously higher when single with one car and no house.

19 years old, clean record and good student discount, also under my parents insurance which they have a good and long history including insured cars and house, got quoted 200/month full coverage. Pretty damn good.
