Last... but not least... page 48

My only gripe is that they show the tires as 215/45-17 Continentals... Are they not 235/45-17 Yokahamas?? Cause that's what the picture shows.

I think in due time it will receive cult status here in the US. When I was in Japan the EVO is respected more than the Impreza but nothing is loved more than the Skyline, old or new.

yep, I agree...it's only a matter of time....

now...if Mitsu will just get off the fence and bring us the FQ's!...

too bad about the GTS....those are great cars!...not something you see coming at you in the opposite lanes very often, either!...

Mitsu invited SoCalEvo.net to attend the ceremony today. Forgot to count, but there were 15-20 of us there, plus three of the EVO's featured at the mitsu SEMA booth and the Black Cusco EVO. They also brought out their EVO III and 6.5...sweet rides! They lined us up in front of the podium for the announcement. Good times, we got to talk shop with some of the department heads and they got some REAL info from REAL owners! Snacks, and goodie bags were a plus too! Nice little event and props to the SoCalEvo.net guys that took the time from work (or *cough* called in sick *cough*) to come out!

I'm not sure if the US will be getting the ACD and AYC that the FQ has. I remember reading an article in SCC stating that "The Active Center Differential and Active Yaw Control of the EVO VII won't be available in the U.S. The hydraulic controls to run those two systems occupy the same space as the U.S. evaporative emissions system"

Anyway, to stay on topic, its great to see that the EVO made COTY from a magazine targeted for car enthusiasts. It only makes it more special for us.

yeah, I've seen that comment too.....I don't care so much about the electronics as the torque from that 330!...

interestingly, the suspension and engine internals are identical to the 8's, so that's gotta' be a good indication for the 8's basic soundness...

and you are right, all the attention the car is getting from the motoring press...all around the world.....does increase one's pride of ownership....I mean, we all know it's a great car, and that's what matters most...how it makes us feel after having spent our hard-earned on one...but it doesn't hurt to see that "experts" are noticing as well!...

SoCalEvo.net was at the ceremony today at MMSA HQ in Cypress, CA. We were invited by MMSA. It was pretty cool. We'll have pics up very soon.

ya about 15 evo's showed up today and SCC was there as well as ther prodject EVO and there were some DEMO cars done by fellow tuner shops.

We were given goodie bags with a Tshirt,stopwatch,2F2F DVD

THere were refrehments and the PR people were real cool and they showed us some new MItsu add ons to the EVO some funny looking fin thing that helps DOwnforce on the rear wing it is mounted on the verry back edg on the roof and makes the car look like it has 9 antans but they said it worked.

All in all it was a good day and a good day for all EVO owners

YIPEEEEE! 2 magazines down and I'll say KEEP 'EM COMING! By the way is that the front cover? It's not the EVO itself? Just like the Automobile magazine 01/04 issue I bought, it's the bmw six on the cover. Hey did anyone found out where to buy Automobile magazine with the EVO on the cover? Or it didn't even exist only for the subscribers...
