Happens to me... and allot of other people it would seem. There is another post like this one already about regular Lancers, but I suppose it would apply to Evos too.

During winter times, you will encounter getting shock when you get in or out of your car. I found a solution to this which was very effective. I bought a static shock remover at Super Autobacs 3 months ago for $12 and it connects to any metal parts under the rear bumper so it will hang and touch the ground. It is made of rubber outside and soft metal inside. Ever since I got it, I never got static shock. I hope this help for some who got shock.

There are two solutions without spending money......First is like what Vanilla said, grab the door frame before your feet touches the ground and second just close the door pushing on the window.......(That leaves finger prints though).............

I find if I wear wool or my down jacket I get zapped.. Otherwise its rare.. HOWEVER, it happens to me in every car I've driven through the winter.. I suspect its the type of clothing I end up wearing this time of the year.. Same reason I get zapped on carpet at home, which is immensely fun to occasionally zap my dog and watch him jump 3' in the air. (Note Sarcasm, Its not done intentionally!)
