Trying to figure out a turbo setup. Please help.

ok, guys, so within the next couple of months i am going to have some extra money coming in and id like to do a bigger turbo setup. right now im on a stock 9 turbo with aem meth kit, kelford 272's, arp headstuds, and a dumptube, injen intake and. other than that, its stock. i am looking towards two options... keeping in mind this is definately gonna be on a budget. a few years back when my dad bought his 03 cummins he installed twins almost immediately. so that leaves me with his stock turbo, its basically brand new. its a Holset(he341 kinda close to the hx35) something or other i beleive. ive done a lot of research and to make it work id need to buy a t3 mani, injectors, and make a downpipe/wastegate setup and some oil lines. i feel like itd be a cool build, and make some good power.
Orrrrrr on the other hand i was just thinking wait on the turbo setup save some more money and see if i could buy someones used FP red or black and get the stock mani ported with injectors.

Im just lookin for opinions. so lemme know whatcha think!
thanks

On a budget, I'd go with your 2nd option, your 1st option consist of to many pieces needing change, with a red or black it's a stock frame turbo, no need to change anything but the turbo. Plus with porting the intake and exhaust mani aswell as a spec 65mm throttle body, it's all a win win. You already have the cams plus a meth kit, on the stock turbo minus the meth kit, my 1st build was identical, I put 368hp and 347tq, think about it, throw in the meth kit and maybe a fp red and you'll have a pretty fast spoolin mid 400hp little monster, hope this helps you out.

Finding a used ported and polished intake/exhaust manifold and 65mm throttle body won't be hard at all on this website, I'm almost certain you'll find one sooner then you think. Good Lucy withthe build, also a used black might be harder to find then a used fp red at the moment but overall this combo is a very respectable setup, good luck, pm me if you have any further questions such as injectOr size, fuel pump and so on
