just bought a $8500 evo was it a good buy?
that sounds like a GREAT deal to me.
I think replacing all the missing/broken parts shouldnt cost more than $5000 total.
i'm sure you can find a lot of them on these forums, look around and you'll get some good deals!

bump for my boy helping me find a sweet ww hood. anyone know if theres a white fender or bu,per forsale on here? im searched for 3 days with no luck and as sick as this is im going to fix this car the right way cause my girlfriend is going to be driving it so me and her can go crusing together i already have a 05 gg MR so theres gonna be a hot girl rolling a hot ww evo with a fp red in dutchess county ny so watch out lol
As for the parts, I found used headlights for $600, yellow hood for $300, used grey fender for $200. New weld in Upper rad support was changed by my buddy at the body shop.
OP: you will have to figure out how much after the rad support. Air Bags, intercooler, etc.
Funny thing it I have a WW hood FS too, but it is promised to another member here.
Good Luck with it.
You guys must all be on the crack....
$8500 for a car you're gonna add another REALISTIC $5000 to to make it nice (using secondhand parts...)
The guy ALREADY paid $250 too much for a crappin'*** windshield!
(It's $150 installed if you shop it around).
Let's do the math...
8500
5000
400
----------
13,900.... For a car that was wrecked and has a dirty carfax?!?
I'm not positive about the carfax OP but if you send me the vin... I'll check it for you (and only you) IN CONFIDENCE as I got no dog in this fight.
Assuming the car shows up totalled... THIS IS $5500 TOO MUCH
in REAL DOLLARS FOR A WHACKED CAR!
crackheads....

You're way off, nobody is doing an Evo windshield for $150, I owned a dealership for 10 years, I've had a hundred windshields replaced, they're not that cheap on a nicer car.
Second, I'm going to say $5000 total including that windshield, actually I know I could get it done for a lot less than that even. I've done these kinds of repairs to a bunch of cars through the years and I've always done real well.
This was well-bought and he'll end up with $17,500 Evo for $13,500, seems like simple math to me.

I know why you no longer have a dealership.... You'd pay $17500 for a car you can't sell!
History my man.... It's all out there nowadays. To make a rebuilt car (even with a clean title the carfax don't lie...) enticing it HAS TO BE CHEAP.
Here's an example for you....
Bought my 03 in the spring of 08.... Needed a windshield ($150 CASH DEALLIO) and tires (4 used Pirelli's @$150 mounted/ balanced myself. Also needed the 60k service done$$$....
I PAID $9986 for the car.... no paintwork--- clean title clean carfax two owners....
Based SOLELY on that purchase... He paid way too much.
Since you have bought it.. it is great.. I think you should ask these kind of questions before you buy it so you really benefit from knowing if it were a good buy or not.. Make sure u ask before u buy parts in the future.. cuz it sucks when u ask whether XX is a good buy after u got it but then ppl tell u it's bad.. lol.. just my 2cents
