just bought a $8500 evo was it a good buy?

ok guys here it goes. i bought a 2003 ww evo 8 with 33183 miles on it friday for 8500 with a clean title. it was in a front end crash and this is what needs to be replaced

my body shop estimated the frame and radiator support installed at $2931. plus all the other parts. i want to keep the car white so if you know anyone selling white parts let me know. the car has some upgrades full apexi tbe megan 02 housing hks bov hks cams dyno tuned 333whp and came with a second set on enki wheels and all the stock parts. now i need your opinion on weither i should fix it or just part it out. the car still runs and drives as ive moved it a few times. ill post a link to my imageshack for photos. thanks again guys

Sounds good. You can get good used parts if you chose wisely. Honestly for that price I would build the car and come out on top. Thats real low mileage so the motor should be in great condition.

if you can spend less than 5-6k total...I think you did pretty well...33k miles is very low

however, I think you'll have some trouble spending less than that

it is just impossible to find white body pieces anywhere. wheres the best please to buy the rad support and other oem parts. i got a estimate at a local body shop and they wana pull the motor take out the right rail replace it with a new one and a ned rad support. the parts are 800 dollars and they want 20 hrs of labor to do it. which is insane, 8.2 hrs is installing the rad support? figure that one out

It's not a simple bolt and go procedure. The frame is going to need pulled, aligned, re-pulled, etc... to get it back into place and straight. That way everything lines up. Without all that work the geometry of the car will be off. It's not just a simple let's remove 4-bolts and re-install.

Also body shop labor rates are usually much cheaper than other shop labor rates.
