Is this a bad sign?

Yesterday, I was trying to turn up the volume on my Go fast bits BOV, and I noticed that when I hit the throttle the Bov's piston was not opening and all the air seems to b coming out from the intake. I remember that b4 when I did that the piston would release n the air would release to atmosfere trought the bov. Any idea what it may b wrong, is my bov done? tnx a lot for the input.

Check the vacuum line and I don't know why air is coming out from your intake. When you're giving it gas are you hearing compressor surge? Do you have it vta or recirculating? Do you have it on the right way ?f

It is installed the right way, also the vacuum line is connected the right way. I have vented 50/50 to atmosphere and back to intake. I also recall that took out one time before to clean it up and was able to push the piston with wrench or screwdriver and now I am not even able 2 do that. Piston is shut and doesnt move up or down.

I am not familiar with the BOV however two things come to my mind. First of all when you adjusted it, is there a chance that you tightened it too much making it extremely hard to open? Other than that, it sound like you may need to take it apart clean it out and lubricate it as the piston may be seized in there.

Tnx I'll look into that, I dont I might tighten the spring too much. One question though is there any chance I might screw it up once I take apart, or bov's pretty easy too take apart n put back together? I've never taken one apart b4.

i just have to say one thing about that bov is a POS, try to get the factory metal bov, it will work better and will hold more boost that the fast bits.

I've had in my evo for 3+ years, and holds the boost pretty good. I'm set at 21psi on the stock turbo, never had a problem until now. The other great thing about is that it vents both to atmosphere and back to intake, and is one of the loudest on the market.

This is probably not it but don't forget on that bov there are 2 adjustment points, the top of the bov is for the spring adjustment and then down the side of the body below the ring where the vaccum line is there is the vta /recirc adjustment. Other than that the take it apart and lubricate it is your best option. I had no problems when I had one installed in my car.

Got it fix, took out from the car n drop by accident on the garage's floor, then play around a little bit with the spring adjustment n vta n recirculate part, until it finally got unstuck. Now it is as loud as it was b4, n is also again vta. Tnx 4 the advice every1.
