Removing handbrake question

I just got my rexpeed carbon fiber handbrake and i was curious how in the hell do i remove the stock handbrake? I know people say too turn until you break the seal... but i swear to god it feels like im gonna break it.. the seal is on there pretty strong. Did anyone else do this? I also noticed that the rexpeed handbrrake comes with 2 screws... i figure i will have to figure that out when i get the stock brake off... unless someone can clue me in please on what the screws are for... im guessing its probably there to hold the HB in place so it doesnt slide off.

pretty much... i need to know if i should just keep yanking and twisted the ebrake until it just twists off.... right???

good luck on it and dont break anything lol. It's very hard, I once read that it might be helpful to use a hair dryer to heat it up.

just twist as hard as you can one way or another, when I say twist I mean more than 45 degrees lol. I tried to twist and pull and that resulted in failure with a knot on the right side of my neck muscle :/ . The Rexpeed piece is nice though, I got mine and installed it 3 weeks ago

You cant technically "turn" it as its on there in a track. You can kinda twist it side to side though just to break the initial seal of the glue. Hair dryer definitely helped the process. It will come off you just need to get some more muscle into it.

Oh and be careful how you choose to position yourself as when it comes off you could smack yourself in the face or anywhere else really

Oh I should really ask this question.... Did you guys have your handbrake pulled up? I figured u kinda have too. But I'm just making sure.. Just in case someone found it easier to just keep your foot on the break and leave the HB down and twist.
