I haven't changed anything at all recently. 1st hot day of the year wonder if that had anything to do with it? Sucked, I was way out a country road with no tools.

Clamp was probably loose already. Get some t-bolt clamps if you don't have them already.

t-bolt clamps and/or hairspray... Yes, I said hairspray... spray the piping that the coupler goes on, just before placing the coupler on. I would advise upgrading clamps tho... I went thru a couple, before I realised I was overtightening them/fkn them up...

Always keep a small tool case in my car just in case. Rather be safe than sorry.

Same thing happens to me ALL the time and it SUCKS. I actually lost 2 t-bolt clamps this weekend at 129. I have lost many and CANNOT figure it out. I have cleaned with alcohol and used hairspray as well as tired both 3" and 2.75" clamps. I am using the stock upper piping and hoping the mini battery with aftermarket piping will remedy this.

I always carry extra clamps and tools. Not saying it will happen to you like this just saying it does happen.

A small tool case is definitely a good idea to have in your car!

I have the stock IC and Injen piping it's hard to get them to line up properly "angled hose" I wonder it it would be harder to blow off one on one of the larger IC's where you'd use a straight hose. I have plans for an ETS intercooler next month.

Both times I lost the main throttlebody clamp... I got lucky that it stayed stuck under the car and not back on the road or I'd have been walking to find it.

Now I keep an extra T-Bolt clamp and a leatherman in the car.

Same thing happened to me on I 95 a couple weeks ago. Of course I had taken my tool kit out for some stupid reason. Luckily I realized the spare tire kit had a "flat headish" tool in it. Needless to say it was the scariest moment in my life.
