Will cams kill my Evo?

Ive been researching this for a while and cannot find any valid information on putting cams on a stock engine with alotta miles. Here's the break down:
Injen intake/UPIC/LIC pipes, Injen tbe, hallman pro bc, excedy twin disc, walbro 255. Currently running 22.1lbs for 300whp and 299ft/lbs. 13.3 1/4 at 101 mph @ 6000ft
Question is, can I run any 272 cams on my engine, that now has 92,000 miles on it, without destroying the engine altogether? Just want power around 350 range. All the parts were installed at 83,000 miles so fairly new with no trouble. I want drivability with power! I know you guys use Evo's as DD's like me and I usually racing on the weekends so I want more power and need answers.. Please any experience with this helps. Any suggested compromises help too!!

Cams will not kill your motor assuming your motor is healthy to begin with and the job was done correctly with right parts.

Thanks, wasnt planning on thrashing it but a conservative tune should hold then. Im not too familiar with how strong the 4g63 MIVEC is so Im skiddish to over do it and drop 4k on a new motor...

Would it be too daring to add the cams and then an FP Green? Conservative of course.. but would I be out on a limb?

Stock block? I would LOVE to have that much power! But at 92k miles could an FP turbo and the cams hold on my car?
I have the money to buy the parts and everythings in the shopping cart just want final opinions before I dump 2k on parts lol

Whats all this talk about a conservative tune?

If the engine is in good shape then give a tune like you would and stock block car,

my car has been beat on for at least 60k miles now, im at 70k without any issue.

Now, depending on cams keep in mind that some require upgraded valvesprings.

Should be fine with a nice tune. It's all about the tune honestly

you'll be fine......there are plenty of evos over the 100k mark, some even over 200k that are making big power. Like everyone on here says "its all in the tune" and of course using quality parts with professional installation doesnt hurt either

What, who else is over 200K? I'm trying for 300K,LOL

OP: Go for it, your engine is barely broken in. I had a stock bottom end until 209K. Cams were installed at like 183K, or something like that... I forget

But yes, I would recommend spring while your in the head anyway depending on the cams you choose.

Good Luck

Miliage and boost are not factors so long as oil is always healthy and tune is reasonable.
