Sitting on 225/35/17 because the previous owner was a cheap @ss. I know the rubber with help tremendously, but I'm also going to end with new bushings, etc more than likely.

I didn't go that big. I have 245/40/18 Bridgestone RE760's and 245/40/18 Hankook RS-3's. Hope I won't have this problem.

265-275 street tires, lowered, R comps if its in the budget, -1.5* camber at least all the way around, I am running 10k/8k combo for springs on my coilovers.

You don't need any special bushings. Just get decent tires. Road imperfections can cause a lot of torque/bump steer as well.

That's the type of response I was looking for.

I am well aware larger tires will help and that's why they are coming very soon.
Coilovers might have to wait a little while tho.

what others Like me are trying to pound into your head is its not only about larger tires, but the compound its self!

A 255 R888/RA1/nt01 for instance would all have better grip then a 275 star spec or worse...some 275 nexxen tire

I'm not sure that Negative camber would help you much going in a strait line, but what could help is a bump steer correction kit installed at the same time as any coils

you keep saying your gonna go for a big tire but I haven't seen you talk about which tire.

What if I one doesn't want to spend 200+ a tire for some R888's. Would Nitto 555R's do the trick or some other comparable drag radial.

the tires I mentioned are just for the example, I would probably get Hankook RS3's

they are a very sticky tire and cheap (equal to or better then NT01's) they are actually good for road racing but the downfall is the soft side wall which I can only guess will make it better for drag.

RS-3's are 127 a tire shipped (and are a street tire)

I will probably end up going with BFG KDW2. I ran 3 sets of them on my 350z and absolutely loved them. You get 90% of the dry performance of any other tire and they are amazing in the rain. I was able to get 30k miles out of each set to with a tread count of 300.

you dont want drag radials or r compounds for the street, sure theyll handle good but when your replacin them once a year, ull be kickin your own a$$..haha, but if you want a good selection of tires here they are: General Exclaim UHP, Continental Extreme Contact DW, Nitto Nt01 are decent but will wear fast, Yokohama Advans are stockers are pretty good. If your on 17's which u said u were, look into either a 2554017, or if you wanna roll your fenders with the right offset wheels you can squeeze a 275 40 17, a 225 35 17, holy crap thats almost a full inch smaller then OE maybe more. Theres most of your issue right there. So there ya go, this recommendation comin from someone whos been certified in tires the last 4 years, so take my advice as you will, and good luck op.

well i would never buy a 300 tread wear tire (for my evo)

KDW's are a good all around tire but...

you have to make sacrifices if you want more grip, check out the Star spec's although there not really a value anymore compared to RS-3's the wet handling is very good and the dry grip should be far better then KDW's
