I found this wire not hooked up to anything when I pop my handbrake console off. What does it do and is it supposed to be connected?

It is a ground and is not factory. If I had to guess it would have been for a gauge with a light or maybe a aftermarket radio. Since it was cut on the other end what ever it was connected to has been removed from the car now.

No Problem Its the wires that actually go to something that should worry you. Sucks when you find a wire that's cut and snakes behind your dash. =-\

I had that problem with a 300zx TT I had. Turns out it was for a aftermarket dash cluster glow kit. Was a pain in the *** to remove the wires they left and fix the mess they made in the wiring harness.

i dont understand why people can take wires out completely when uninstalling things, instead of leaving loose stuff like this..
