Prosport oil pressure sender

Is there anyone that's running the Prosport performance series oil pressure gauge and running into problems with the sender? This is the third gauge and second sender that I've gone through in the past year. And I had just gotten a brand new gauge and sender a few months back. The main problem is that the sender unit seems to be going bad. The car could be off but the pressure will read 10psi. When I go and tap on the sender a few times, it will zero out and read fine. If I don't go and tap on the sender unit, the gauge will read higher than what it really is. Is this a common problem with these gauges? Thanks.

Are you sure you have a good ground for your sensor? I am using AMS's oil pressure sending unit adapter line and have not had any problems for over a year now.

Definitely not a grounding issue. Checked and cleaned all the grounds. All my other gauges are working properly, just this one ands its components that keeps crapping out after a while. The first one worked fine for almost half a year while this one worked correctly for the first 3 or so months. Then it started acting funny... Is it just the quality of these gauges and components? Should I swap out to something else because I don't want to have to buy a new gauge every few months...
