quick question. tdc

cylinder 1 and 4 are tdc correct? i read something today and this guy said the middle two should be at top of rotation... i think he is wrong. and also my pistons do not go all the way flush with top of block after build with Frankenstein evo parts. all parts cam off other 8's it probably has 12th of a inch to the top is that correct or should it be flush.

theres marks on the crank and cam gears that will tell you where TDC is. when the motor is at TDC its cylinder 1 and 4 at the top of their stroke.

the pistons do not go flush to the block either. at least i know stock doesnt
