Boost Leak question w/ pics

I took the evo out of storage a couple of weeks ago. When I was driving around I noticed a distinct loud whistle at low boost only. I knew right away it was a boost leak. That day when changing the oil I saw that my wastegate had a hole in it.... Noob question, is the hole pictured below supposed to be there? If not what went there? Do I need a new wastegate?

Thanks for the help!!

Cameron

Not sure about the stock one but the FP 18psi one I have for sale doesn't have a hole.

That picture is a little blurry but it looks like someone drilled a hole in it. Sabotage?

I have a similar whistle and not at full boost, its around mid boost levels.

Which gasket do you mean? In the actuator? Mines a FP 18PSI one.

EDIT: Just saw the title in your post.

Thanks guys, I have never really noticed the hole before and just wanted to make sure! I will check the gasket on the turbo outlet pipe and see if that was the problem.
