Would lucas be ok to put in trans? My 3rd gear randomly started grinding really bad.

I would put synchromesh. Fixed my 4th gear grind, shifts sooo smooth. search it up.

just have to change it fairly often.

 

I took out synchromesh and put in amsoil severe gear- helped my 5th gear grind tremendously.

was your 5th gear grind from a bad synchro?

im pretty sure my 4th gear synchro was bad, and thats why the synchromesh helped.

But, we really dont know if the OP's problem is the synchro or not. Is there a way to tell?

 

yeah bad synchro
started when i was trying to shift into 5th and my friend was in the car and his leg hit my hand and made me tried to shift between 3rd and 5th and caused a huge grind.
