So I bought an ecu from a guy that told me it was for a 1g dsm. Once I got it home, it was obvious the plug wasn't the same as a dsm ecu. I'm trying to get a hold of the guy to refund my money but at the same time, I'm trying to figure out what it is. The mitsu part number is MD334789 and it's an eprom unit. I found an ecu on ebay with the same part number and the guy claims it's for a 96-98 MITSUBISHI LANCER EVOLUTION I, 2 AND 3 with a 4g63t. I try searching for evo 1-3 ecu part numbers and this one isn't coming up.

96-98 is evo 4 and 5. Evo 1, 2 and 3 are 92-95.

Maybe an RVR sportsgear (also 4g63t), I think they are Expo LVRs in the states.

 

I was able to return the ECU, but I think you're right. It does seem to have come from an RVR. Probably came with a replacement motor for a 2g dsm.

 

googled it and found a japanese guy with ecu problems on his RVR same part number as yours. i know im late but damn it i found it lol
