Question Considering An Evo - Insurance Costs?

Hey guys, I am considering purchasing an evo in the upcoming months and was wondering if you guys could give me some information. I was wondering what any of you pay for insurance? Right now I have AAA and I would be looking at full coverage so if anyone else has an evo on AAA it might be similar cost. Thanks in advance.

I'm 34. My insurance on my Evo is cheaper than it was on my 2001 Volkswagen GTI VR6. Go figure.

Just call up AAA and have them run a quote for you. Comparing prices here really isn't going to help. I've heard of people getting insurance on an Evo as cheap as any other car ... and then again my insurance runs $2800 every 6 months.

Yes ... it really is painful ...

but worth it.

Before someone says the big 'S' word, I'll tell you that the evo is scaled near the middle, but more towards the expensive end of the insurance ratings. With Geico, it is considered an 'N', on a scale of 1-8, then A-Z, 1 being the cheapest to insure.

go with geico and get the "vehicle break down coverage" like me an Thoe99 for about $16 extra every 6 months and you'll thank yourself later

It has so much to do with where you live. I live in Los Angeles, i'm 34 with no tickets, and single. AAA insurance is about $1600 a year.

1100 every 6 months with it as my primary car. 430 every 6 months with it as a secondary car. Before this I was paying 2600 every 6 months for my ITR and that's with no tickets
