Preloading your drivetrain before launching will spare it from a lot of the shock of a violent clutch dump. I'm a firm believer that you could break an axle at stock power if you were dumb enough with the way you launch it, but as the others here have shown, they'll last at huge power if you treat them right. I would be comfortable running stock axles at big power until one breaks, then popping in another stock axle to replace it. Aftermarket units aren't cheap, and probably not warranted until you absolutely *need* them to hold up.

Regarding front Evo-X axles, call up DSS. They might be able to make a custom set for you.

The wheel wouldn't fall off for an axel failure. Only for a hub/bearing/wheel stud failure.

The axle holds the hub together. But it would take a bit of driving to eventually have the hub come apart.

I understand your points but FYI i just replaced all the hubs last month and 2 of them (both left) had bearings split into 2 parts. This new one with the broken axle already wobbles

definitely only 500.0001 whp haha jk no, my evo has over 500whp and it's been holding just fine and pulls hard with no complications on stock axles.

I wanted to post this last month but I couldnt find time... I do remember spinning the car into the grass and then slid back on the concrete side ways. The pavement was about 1.5" higher. the rear wheel and hub seem fine. This was about 5 years ago, which is why there's rust on the facture point of my axle
