Definitely Evo IX. You will absolutely love it.. That IX looks pretty good and taken care of.

Honestly, I'd take the '11 WRX over the '06 IX, but I'd also take any year X over the WRX.

The ix is pretty nice. Than again a brand new car is always nice. Try reading this thread:

Good luck!

evo ix, evo takes mode easily, it's easier to make evo go fast than a wrx

Honestly the wrx seems like a more practical and chill ride for a dd, especially if you live in a city. I don't live in a big city (110,000 people in my small city) and I love my evo for a dd. Both great cars, I think it's one of those decesions where you find a deal you can't pass up

First off- Evo Forum...so yea.

Second - Depends what you are looking for. I'd vote evo if you are looking to ever mod it or are looking for anything other than a stock car to cruise around town in.

Third - 06' evo has hit the bigger portion of its depreciation already where as the '11 subie will take a monster hit once you pick it up from the dealer.

So it really comes down to what exactly you are looking for and how long you are planning to own the car.

My vote is Evo<

Your talking about 2 different machine's. I own 2007 STi and love the car, always ups and down with either car! This is my 2cents on the Evo and WRX. The WRX is a great car for DD and some small mods, the inside of the WRX is much nicer then the Evos. If you plain on not modding the car crazy in the motor department and want a fun a safe car get the WRX. Evo owns WRX when comes down to reliability in motor department. The motor is awsome, and the handling is awsome. The only plus the Evo has in the inside is the front seats that's a big plus for track and corners! One thing I hate about the STi is you fall out of the seats! If your looking for a DD and car that your not going to do alot with get the Subaru, if you want a car that you can do it all get the Evo! Having my STi is nice and I love the car, on the other hand I wish I owned a Evo so I could build a track car! The STi cost a lot more to get same power from a Evo and same with handling! You wont go wrong with either car to be honest, both great cars.......

honestly if you are strictly looking for a stock DD with no mods I would prolly say go for the wrx just because of the fact that its a new car and is definetly more street friendly compared to the IX....the IX is basically a track car made for the streets...if you plan on modding and making power than go for the IX for sure! the wrx's make good power if you throw money into them and build the engine but the IX's are a beast just waiting to be awakened with a few bolt ons and a good tune lol

the IX is a great car out of the box! That IX looks decently priced compare to the others I've seen around my area with higher mileage, and make sure you bring a mechanic that you trust to check it the car out.

Nailed it!! While my evo was being worked on I had a chance to drive an 08' wrx and I know it's different in many ways than the '11 but I still found myself thinking....I could get used to this! But regardless what you wanna do with the wrx if you go that way, make sure it's a wide body....those things look really really good IMO
