Would you buy a Evo IX se with high miles (90k) if you planned to fully gut it and dedicate it to a play car. And also how much would you pay for it?

Right now I have a 2008 G37s 6mt and I hate it. I plan to buy a X by the end of this yr or early next yr. Just taking care of some things first. I saw a high mileage IX that I thought about getting after I sell my G and using that as a daily til I get the X. Smart idea or completely bad idea? I mean either way I'm getting rid of the G cause I really don't want it but should I consider the Evo IX?

 

I wouldn't, I would look for an older model with higher mileage, salvaged, or a complete shell

 

If you plan on stripping it down I would look for cheap gsr or something like that. Se has the nice interior, the front lip and rims so you don't really need all Of that for a race car.

I thought of the SE because I was gonna DD for a lil and because if I got any hick-ups or delays in my plans for the X at least ill be in a fairly nice evo for the time being.

 

id go for a high milage 03 gsr, but then again the ix has mivic...

 

gues maybe if you got that you'd have some decent parts to sell back to make up back funds

My dad is looking for a G37, He has an immaculate 2006 red Evolution Mr with 22k miles its built by Buschur Racing it makes 508 AWHP and 440 AWTQ on 93 pump and methanol injection. the car is gargae kept with all receipts of service and maintenance and the build from day one. there is over 15k in modifications and other than the Buschur Racing Intercooler It looks totally stock on the outside. You will not find a cleaner better maintained car than this one. If intrested pm me and let me know. we can talk further. I can vouch that this car is very fast i helped him plan out the build from day one. I can vouch the car will walk a Nissan GTR from 30mph to 140mph. PM if you are intrested.

 

Don't buy an SE if your are going to guy it. Buy an RS.
