***R/ternie Please Read***

Abstract:

Below is my conversation with R/TErnie starting on the 8th of April, 2011 and ending on the 6th of June, 2011. The seller has told me that the items have been manufactured but has failed to ship them and when contacted about it has still not shipped the items. I have been waiting patiently for over 2 months on the items purchased and feel that this charade has gone on long enough.

Reasoning:

This thread will act as documentation in court if needed along with phone and forum private message records.

R/Ternie:yeah I could make an extra set. It really depends on the quality of ball joint you want to buy. It'll use the Energy Suspension trailing link bushing on the other end.

I plan to give it an addition 5mm of clearance... that should cover any tire delfection

Awesome, I'm down for the best quality. Just let me know a price.

R/Ternie:
seems fair I'll have pics this weekend. I should have 1 set finished.

Me:
Awesome, thanks again. Hit me up with the pics and I'll send the cash via paypal if that works for you.

Can you ship the parts to reese tuning in s.d.?

Just checking in....have you had a chance to wrap up the parts?

Also, side question, I have a few friends (evo owners), asking about your trailing arms. Specifically, they are asking about their strength compared to the stock ones. Do you have a definite answer that I can relay to them? Going off of that, a couple may be interested in purchasing a set (nothing set in stone, but I might be able to drum up a couple sales for you). Would you be willing to sell more sets?

R/Ternie:
My lathe slackys didn't lathe my ish until last night, so I didn't get them until tonight. I'll be finishing up your set here within the week . Sorry for the delay!

I've FEA'd the factory arms and then compared them to my steel ones.

Some things to think about... aluminum fatigues, steel doesn't...so mitsubishi has to design extra for that. Mitsubishi also designs with a higher factor of safety considering its supposed to last the lifetime of the vehicle... even in DEROIT lol.

Yours are gussetted .120 wall 1" tubing. More than beefcake enough for trailing links. Mine were not gussetted and were done in .095 wall.

yeah I would be willing to sell a few more sets.

No Further PM contact with seller since June 6, 2011 at 1:05pm PST
Seller last active on EvoM today, June 24, 2011 @ 4:40 pm

PHONE RECORDS (Verizon verifiable):After not hearing back through PM's, I contacted the seller via cell phone, below is the entire conversation beginning on June 19th:

June 19 2011 (10:42 pm):R/Ternie:

Send me a picture of the completed links

June 19 2011 (10:52 pm):

Me:

Awesome. Thank you for getting those. I didn't mean to sound like an ***, just needed the parts.

R/Ternie:

I understand. It's my bad. I played catch up this weekend since work owned me last week. I'll get a tracking no tomorrow afternoon at the latest. I have to find a box at work and then call fedex.

tracking no is 015034215000298. It'l go active tomorrow.

June 19 2011 (11:01 pm)

Me:

Alright, thank you.

June 22 2011 (3:59 pm)

Me:

Just checking to confirm that the package has been shipped.

June 24 2011 (8:47 pm)

Me:

What's the deal? Still no package and FedEx shows that it still hasn't been picked up?

June 24 2011 (8:48 pm)

R/Ternie:

It's with me right now. Fedex doesn't pick up at outr work.

June 24 2011 (8:49 pm)

Me:

Do you plan on shipping it anytime soon?

June 24 2011 (9:14 pm)

R/Ternie:

I don't lol. I'm busy every weekend until sept.

June 24 2011 (9:23 pm)

Me:

I'm failing to see the comedy. When are you going to ship?

June 24 2011 (9:33 pm)

R/Ternie:

Wrong person actually.

June 24 2011 (9:33 pm)

R/Ternie:

Sorry. A friend wanted to know if I could install his valvesprings.

June 24 2011 (9:34 pm)

R/Ternie:

It'l be active Monday.

June 24 2011 (9:37 pm)

Me:

What does that mean..."Active"? You said that last Monday. If I don't have them shipped Monday...3 days from now, I'm going to have the charge reversed. I don't have time to wait around for these to ship when you have had a chance to ship them. That time has come and passed.

That is the last of my contact with the seller.

To R/Ternie:

Hopefully you will see this and decide to ship my items. I have always been a proponent of supporting small businesses and American businesses alike, but I will not stand for abhorent service which you have provided either intentionally or not.

As I stated to you earlier, If you fail to ship the links by Monday, I will reverse the charges and take further action if needed. Further action includes but is not limited to:

1)Issuing a subpoena duces tecum
2)Court-mandated repayment for the amount of $550
3)Court-mandated repayment for my travel expenses to WA.

I strongly urge you to take the high road and have the items shipped by monday as I have a busy schedule as well and do not want to have to set time aside for this childish behaivor.

Find the time.

-Ben

I'm sure things will work out. I've been working with a fabricator and its been a lesson in patience. I finally got 95% of my stuff so all I can tell you is I'm sure things will get worked out. Good luck. All my interactions with R/T have been positive. He def. seems a little slow on the shipping part.

I have never doubted that he has a lot going on in life but that is not something particular to just him, a lot of us do and there are ways to do things and ways to not do things. Taking over a month to "find time" to ship a 10 lbs package via FedEx is an example of how not to do things. They will come to your house and pick it up...just set up a pickup time. The inability to come up with a way to ship said package for over a month is a bit extreme.

Communication communication communication. People would be surprised how understanding a customer would be if they were proactive in contacting someone and giving them a heads up instead of going completely radio silent and the customer feeling like they have to chase someone down to get updates.

What?? trolling? Why would you say that? My post was very on topic.

R/TErnie is not a vendor. If the OP hadnt bought from a NON vendor, then maybe the OP wouldn't be in the current predicament. (No offense to the OP)

And besides that, its against the rules and more importantly, its very disrespectful to every vendor that DOES follow the rules and PAYS vendor fees.

^^ huh well there ya go. Still though that is a long time to wait, regardless of the situation.....Considering i see R/Ternie all over this site in various sections, i doubt he would try to intentionally rip someone off.
