There are maybe six of us here who fell the same way.

 

You get what you pay for in terms of quality in parts, but... I will say this.
I havent seen or heard of many high hp cars coming out of WORKS. Unfortunately even if you look in the sigs of the high hp cars on this forum, not many will list WORKS parts. Their 02 housing is nice because its larger yet still retains the bracket. For the price I would rather just use a megan/ ebay that functions just as well and is lighter, imo.
The downside is Im sure the WORKS is designed with much better fitment.
Their model is to be able to sell their parts to have on new cars at the dealer and be able to warranty them. I think that is another reason they arent active on here. Their focus is on getting more dealerships, and focusing on their own racing they do. They seem to do a lot more with rallying from what I gathered talking to them.

 

The only problem here is we didn't get the same things as the JDM Evos that can actually handle. Yes, it's an AWD beast but there's no YAW, no ACD (in 03 models), and no front LSD (only RS) like what the JDM version has. Our Evos are just not really Evos without some of these features, especially 03s that never came with ACD.

The point of modding is to make it handle better and to bring it as close to or even surpass the JDM spec Evos and EVERYONE has a budget. Works has quality parts but their parts are high in price for the average man and the average man just looks elsewhere to go out and find a cheaper part that performs on par or perform better than Works. Not saying everything on the Works website is high in price because that's not true, just some of their things like the O2 housing, their DV, etc are higher than actually good name brands, like Synapse or Buschur, and have been proven.

 

when I first started looking into Evo's I wanted WORKS everything - I think it was the first Evo shop I had personally ever heard about, and I liked what I could see about them. but the more I looked into the car, and considering my location (IL), I basically switched over to AMS for the most part for products.
