I am done with Mitsus
I had shaking in my wheel as well about 3k miles. I never tracked it or anything so when I told my service manager I wanted something done about the rotors he replaced them.
So far so good at my dealership.

My Evo is sitting over night (as I type this) at the dealer I purchased it from getting the rotors replaced. They tried turning them once which helped for about two weeks. I only have 6750 miles on it. Quick note: they are replacing them FREE OF CHARGE under warranty. FYI I live outside of Chicago. The dealer has been pretty good about it. You really cannot get this kind of performance for anything less than 40k and even then it will only have two seats. Good luck.
hey JKboggs, I am in chicago area.
Can you tell me which dealership you went to?
I am sick and tired of dealer with the dealership I go to.
I already had my rotors turned twice. That should be enough to replace them.
I don't really want to sell the car, but, if problems like this persist I have other thoughts.
Are there any respectable and honest dealers in chicago?
BTW, thanks for your support guys.

a little insight on things:first, almost all manufacturers now are using ****ty paint.truly doesnt matter who u get ..youll notice all are cutting corners to some degree.i had a 2003 maxima i got rid of for the evo(which has 1100 miles ans just sits in the garage
.most manufacturers dont spend the money on prestigious paints as they once did.2.rortors on my max sucked bad, too.youll find alot of big names with ****ty rotors.3.i also had a shimmy in my wheel of the maxima and front end issues and i purchased the car brand new.4.rattles and squeaks are something u need to get used to in any new car.most of the inferior materials i.e. plasict injected molding are inheritedly prone to squeaks-unfortunately its just something to get used to and everyones using em. so to draw a conclusion:jumping from one car to the next is not a cure all to any problem and being upside down on the car u are trading in to think you will fix by getting a newer different car will just be a front until you soon realize that all manufacturers have problems no matter what. For me it was about all wheel drive, independent suspension, turbo and the ability to rod the car with a never ending aftermarket support.plus,i dont believe the 3.5 was all that hot as the 3.0 from the older max.(yes, had valvetrain noise and such)

I understand your frustration. I enjoyed the performance of my Evo VIII, but the dealer service was the WORST I have ever experienced. Then when I tried to seek help from Mitsubishi corporate they were just as bad as the dealer, if not worse. I got rid of mine after 2 months because of how poorly they treated me. There ARE better car companies out there, I would recommend finding one. Mitsu has not yet grasped the concept that customer service AFTER the sale is almost more important than anything else.
