Got a quote from a local tuner for 400. This includes changing oil and filter, transmission, transfer case, rear diff, and acd. Is this a good price?

 

ACD is a pain but I'd say thats way too much even including all fluids.

Im in the bay area and need this done. Still waiting on a quote from GST hopefully theyre cheaper.

 

Call a dealer in your area and find out.

But remember, undertray has to come off and ACD has to be done correctly or you can damage the pump.

 

My goodness 400 that's insane. I couldn't even imagine I never had to do an ACD flush though

 

Well I am just trying to do some preventative maintenance before I start modding. Do I need to have the acd fluid changed?

 

Are you at the service interval for the ACD?

 

When is the interval to change it? I only see on that spec sheet when to check.

 

That sounds about right, I did my 30k service at Speed element in fremont. It included oil change, tranny fluid flush, transfer case fluid change, coolant, spark plugs, brake fluids flush, bleed acd ect...

 

Buy a jack + jackstand and do 'em yourself. Little daunting the first time, took me an afternoon and evening but now I'm comfortable and will be saving a few hundred bucks each time in the future

 

About how much was that? PM me.

 

My dealership charge me $75 for the ACD and clutch bleed.

 

Damn, the fluids to do this were about $125 I think and it takes me an hour to do all 3...is there any reason you can't just do it yourself? Honestly it requires a socket wrench, a set of sockets, a few funnels, a set of ramps, and some plastic tubing...so figure $75 in tools.
