I need help PLEASE!

Ok guys so i got in an accident approximately a year ago. the body shop i took it to did a great job fixing my car but now i have a problem. they installed my UICP wrong the one coupler was backwards so it was in the fan a little. the car has been running Very rich according to my Wideband for the past few months so i did my spark plugs today and noticed the fan actually tore a hole in the UICP coupler because it was installed wrong. so i figured since my wideband said rich that this was the reason.. a boost leak. well i took my plugs out to notice that the plugs looked as if the car had been running lean... the plugs didnt have much black soot on them at all but more they were brown and whitish. so now i am not sure what is wrong i thought i was running rich and needed a tune but i come to find out that its actually lean?? . im scared that since this was a while ago i might have internal damage because it was running lean or something might be at risk... this is my DD and i need to go to allentown tomorrow aprox. a 30min drive. im scared to drive because i was told it might be risky for me but im lost on what to do. the body shop told me they would pay for a new coupler they told me to purchase it and they will give me the money but is it possible something else is wrong? my car after 4-5k dies completely and the afr is pegged at 10-1. if i let off a little it starts to pull again? but now seeing my plugs i dont see how i can be running 10-1 and be running so rich if they arent showing signs of running rich... any help would be great thanks here is a picture of the hole..

Damn. That pipe is expensive but if its is leaking it will def cause car to die under any acceleration. Did you figure out if car was running lean or rich?

Honestly it sounds like that hose may not be the issue if you taped it and it still is dying it must be something else.

You should take a pic of the plugs..do you run race gas? I would check the all the upper and lower intercooler pipes for leaks. How are you running your BOV?

Between the intercooler pipes and not recirculating your BOV your going to be running rich. That will cause you to break up. Your plugs are may be contributing because they are out of gap. Fix the leaks and with new plugs you should be good.

Your plugs were probably ok, just out of gap...did you compare the gap between the new and old? Anyway you got half the problem solved..now just look over the piping for other leaks after you replace the damaged one, and I would go back to recirculating with the BOV.

Good luck!

Oh, and tape will not hold up when you start getting into boost. Just try to keep out boosting till you get a new hose.
