Questions

I tried researching this and came up with nothing.

How much power will a stock Evo 8 or 9 motor take safely?

How much will the drivetrain take to include the half shafts?

I am looking to make 500,550 whp on my stock motor and drivetrain. The key is keeping the tq around 400 or so ft lbs

its not the whp that kills the motors its the TQ keep it below 420 and you will be fine if you have a heathly motor to start with. your goal should not be to run the OEM motor to ragged edge at that point your asking for it to blow on you. if you plan on making real power you need to get a built motor hands down.

I wasn't planning on making any crazy whp numbers I just wanted to know where the limits are so I have a "bar" to stay under. This is more of a fun play toy to DD. I already have a turboed mustang to go nuts with. Much cheaper to break lol.

Type it into the search bar on this forum and see what you come up with then. If I wanted a number from 400-1000 I would have gone with what I found one google. I am looking for numbers out of someone who know what they are talking aboutand has the experience. Secondly please google the HP/TQ rating for the half shafts then and get back to me. Also since I am new to imports I do not know the right place to look.
