evil engineering in phoenix az. it was their shop car.

Althought I questioned the original owners hp claim of 1250hp, the car is built very well. I do think its worth every penny of the starting auction price.

If the car hit 1000whp I'm pretty positive more of us would have heard a lot more about the car, haha.

who does that though? if you have access to e85, most people would run just straight e85. and to make 1200whp, your not doing it on pump gas at all

People like me would love that option. Nearest E85 pump is 60 miles away.. Plus all the other benifits of running the ProEfi... Just read up on it. Pretty sick set-up. Costly, but worth every penny. Saving for it every check.

With a high horsepower car, you dont have time to look at the gauges. plus, everything is monitered and logged by the stand alone ecu. no need for multiple gauges.

plus if its the pro efi gauge, you can set it up to display up to four parameters..

$35k? I'd pay that if it was stock.

Also:

runs on gasoline and e85 at the same time

I'm guessing that means swapping fuel maps between tanks...

No, It actually will run on half a tank E85 and Half 93.... thats what flex fuel is all about...

ProEFI Flex Fuel Testing
Originally posted by Sound Performance on Supraforums at 12-14-2009, 12:27 PM

Finished, tested, and validated what could be the most useful strategy ProEFI has to offer for turbocharged vehicles. Ethanol is becoming more readily avialable across the country, and is obviously ALOT cheaper than racing fuel. With a flex fuel sensor (which we now stock) and the Pro128, you can run whatever mix of Ethanol and gas you want.

The computer automatically blends the timing, cranking fuel, boost, and accel fuel based on ethanol content. The Can Gauge will display your ethanol content as well. We are running this on an 800hp street supra, and it works FLAWLESSLY! We started the car on 1/4 tank of gas, poured in 5 gallons of E85 while the car was ...running and the O2 mixture stayed dead constant, and you could watch the Ethanol content change.

We then went out and proceeded to beat the crap out of it! PERFECT mixtures across the board. Then we filled the rest of the tank with E85, and really put the screws to it! No more need for racing fuel! Idles perfectly at any mixture, starts perfectly at any mixture! You have to love this stuff!

Official release from ProEFI:

We have finished the flex fuel coding allowing you to run a flex fuel sensor to mix gas and ethanol blends like a late model flex fuel vehicle. The Flex fuel kits are $459.99 when purchased with an ECU, and include the sensor and the harness. When the sensor is hooked up, the ECU will blend between two cranking fuel maps (one gas, one ethanol), it will blend between to accel fuel maps (one gas, one ethanol), it will blend between the low and high octane maps, as well as allow you to select Flex fuel as your boost control input. This will add boost according to the ethanol content. When in this mode the I-Boost will function as 5 selections for boost based on ethanol content. We will be posting videos of the computer making live adjustments based on Ethanol content in the next week. The Can Gauge now also displays Ethanol Percent so the customer can see what mixture they have in the tank. Customer currently must have a Pro128 to use this feature. We are in the process of building a circuit to change the frequency output of the sensor to a 0 to 5v output that will allow the Pro48 customers to use flex fuel as well.

Nobody makes 1000whp or even close with exedy twin disc LOL. I doubt HKS 272's would be able to even run 800whp with a 42R as well...

And pro-efi flex fuel means it can switch between e85 and pump gas without changing anything it automatically detects ethanol content and interpolates between maps based on that content number. It doesn't mean he runs pump gas AND e85 at the same time.

A flexible-fuel vehicle (FFV) or dual-fuel vehicle (colloquially called a flex-fuel vehicle) is an alternative fuel vehicle with an internal combustion engine designed to run on more than one fuel, usually gasoline blended with either ethanol or methanol fuel, and both fuels are stored in the same common tank. Flex-fuel engines are capable of burning any proportion of the resulting blend in the combustion chamber as fuel injection and spark timing are adjusted automatically according to the actual blend detected by electronic sensors. Flex-fuel vehicles are distinguished from bi-fuel vehicles, where two fuels are stored in separate tanks and the engine runs on one fuel at a time, for example, compressed natural gas (CNG), liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), or hydrogen.
