hey guys, i have a problem with my evo 8. its been sittin for 2yrs+ cuz of an accident, i recently got it running put 30 miles or so on it but under boost around 5k rpms it has a hick up where it cuts power or loses boost idk. boost gauge says 18psi but those can lie, idles fine, revs fine under no load. my boost actuator bracket was bent but i put it on anyway to save$$$ could that b the problem?? bad gas b the problem? mayb a tune?? boost leak??? should i bring it to my mitsu dealer?(last resort i hate my mitsu dealer) idk but if u guys think its crank walk im gunna cry cuz this motor has 12k on it and last motor had crank walk any ideas of what it could b let me kno, thank you in advance for the tech help

 

Try changing your plugs and wires as well.

 

Could be plugs, ignition, check vacuum to your fuel pressure regulator (would cause lack of fuel), check boost leaks, etc.

 

id say the gas has to be gettin old too, try some fresh 93 as well
