Help, Timing Stuck
Just installed my new head, and re-attached my cam gears.
When I went to check my timing, I am able to turn my crank 130deg each direction.
Yet the problem is that after each 130deg turn, my crank will not turn any more. It comes to a halt. I've checked my valve clearance and there seems to be about a inch inbetween the valves and the pistons.
I have kelford 272 cams, and bc springs/retainers.

sounds like you either have the timing 180 off and your hitting the valve against the piston .. Just go over your timing and look at the intake cam and make sure when you get the belt on it looks like the #1 cly intake cam lobe is going to hit first ..
Unless something is wrong with the head , like a valve sticking (not going down) ..
Where did you get the head from ?

The first spring on the left does appear to be hitting first. And I'm sure that the belt isn't 180 cause I had it zip tied to the gears. Could be a valve issue. Really didn't want to take it off again. Sigh.
