If you really want to be sure, do a magnet test on the roof to check to see if the roof is aluminum.

 

I know 100% that the head lights are from an Evo 7...... one step closer...

 

Not just a 7, the JDM (or anything outside of the US) evo 7 and 8's all have the chrome housing with the amber turn signal on the bottom.

So chances are it is a GSR, since 8 MR's have the flat black housing.

 

very much agreed! JDM evos had much wider option packages than the USDM evos do..

and from the pictures, it looks to me like an evo 8 MR RS..... the one big giveaway is the lack of a rear windshield wiper... looks legit to me! correct headlights, taillights, lack of vortex generator, 5-speed... VIII MR RS

to my knowledge, the RS in japan is a bare bones evo, all of the "no frills" of our US RS's plus no Brembos, No recaros, Steel wheels..etc.. and the MR RS option simply adds a wing, BBS wheels, brembos, recaro seats, biltein suspension and a stereo i believe... to make the RS more "civil" for daily driving...

The rear views look like they are silver? The roof has the two ridges down the sides so it is the alluminium one. The GSR roof is completly smooth.

 

Yep aluminum roof. Done deal it's an MR unless someone went through the trouble of welding in an MR roof skin.

 

The roof is made by alluminium,i'm sure,i have checked it,now I try to verify the vin and I let you know the result.

the roofs arent welded in, you cant weld aluminum to steel... they are riveted in place..


all it takes is a few minutes of looking at options to figure out what your looking at is an VIII MR RS.....

 

that guy is right. it's an MR RS with the 5 speed.

 

its an UK evo 8 MR. you can tell by tail lights.
