Evo VIII / IX's becoming more expensive?
in all honesty if you are set on a evo ix wait until you find the right deal, theirs always deals out there and with the economy lately people are usually more willing to deal!! i picked up my 06 ww evo ix rs from the original owner with 56k on it for $15k and their isnt a single ding or scratch on the car its as mint as can be!! so again just hold out and wait for that right deal to come along and trust me you wont be disappointed
since i bought my first almost two years ago i can say ive seen the prices go up for sure esp on the IXs. those owners think theyre the rarest thing ever and see people with the nerve to ask some crazy money for them. my 03 blue books for around 14-15 and i dont see that changing any time soon.
But there's a demand for them, so naturally it will depreciate at a slower rate. If the asking price is "crazy money," then no one will buy them, and the prices will drop. But they're pretty stable, unless the owner really needs the cash.
I'm always checking the blue book value on mine (private party) last year my evo 9 gsr was at $19,600 with 56k on it and just yesterday i checked..... 60,100 miles it's at almost $21,500.
Crazy to think 5 years ago I only paid $8k more for it.

here is the thing to think about....
How old are most of us? teens-20s-30s ok we will most likely sell our cars at some point in life. but when were 60 we will want to get a car that we can drive and remember the past. look back on life.
This is what has happened with muscle cars and todays values
when were older we will have the financial means to buy the car we want, are we gona want an evo?
I will because i grew up with them and have had some much fun and memories in mine.
I will be looking for a clean evo then what will i pay for it? what ever i have to.
This will determine value.
