If I remember correctly, the glass is held only held on by two brackets and like 4 screws. When I fixed mine I actually had two problems, one was the screws for the motor and the other was a gum wrapper that somehow got wedge in there knocked it off the tracks. Check the tracks to make sure they're clear. You should be able to get a good look at things by just taking the glass off.

The glass comes out by 2 torx bit screws on each side of the glass. Its easy, i have had my headliner down and a new sunroof motor in with about 30mn of time realistically.

Did you look at the sunroof motor at the back? Did you find the screws loose?

yes, both screws fell out of the headliner as i took it out....pushed the roof all the way open and had the motor in the full open position. tested it many times.
but thats the thing, it was working good rite off the bat. so i put the liner back in and called it a day.

a few days later i hit the switch and it skips teeth again. took the headliner out again. then. found that even with the motor removed, the roof was hard to open. since iv removed the whole track from the car in an attempt to clean and relube.
still works like crap.

so be it, if they are bad. a friend and i are going to attempt to overhaul the entire track. im thinkin pine sap dripped in the track. if all else fails il order up new parts. i may seal it up for the winter if it still works like crap.

how are you gonna seal it up? I think that's what I'm gonna do with mine. Mine sounds like it's grinding teeth also but I don't have time to remove it. I think I may have to seal it up for winter also. It's closed but keeps sinking down after a bit of driving enough to where moisture can get in so I have to push it back up.

short answer to my original question is NO. I was also asking the wrong question... It never fell off the tracks. It was the motor behind it that came loose. I never lubed my tracks but I'm sure that info is somewhere. The screws just literally came out of the motor and when I pulled the headliner they were all right there. I thought the glass had came off the tracks and it felt that way but I was wrong. What are your symptoms?
