Motec M4 + Greddy T67 blow my EVO 7 engine

Hi all,

I'm new to this forum & I hope to have an advice from any expertise online.

I send my EVO 7 to UAE to be tuned by some party who claims to be the best EVO tuner in the Middle east, i recived my car with the following parts:

The Engine: 1) run by Motec M4
2) Greddy t 67 + manifold & wastegate
3) Greddy 720cc injectors
4) Greddy profec-B
5) HKS fuel rail
6) Tommy "272"cam shafts
7) CSC pistons " stroker"
7) two internal fuel pumps with 2 additional external
pumps (the only thing seem to be look good)
8) airnex intake filter
9) apexi exhaust system
10) custom made down pype ( )
11) American made fuel regulator
**12) Toyota LEXUS coils ( the tuner claims that the
Motec control each coil individually )

The Story:

before getting my EVO I was told that it was being tested and being well tuned. However, I arranged the shippment and i was suppose to recieve my car around 2:30 am at wednesday 31.

The tralier launched my car at the highway exactly where we all guys race. The road was empty and it's so cold out there, anyway I started the engine and wait till it get warmed up.

I could hear a rattle noise in the engine but i was told to ingore it so I did , I drove smoothly for about one mile, then at 1st gear at low speed i went full throtle and kept shifting smooth at 7000 rpm.

The Results:

The turbo kicks at 4500, the car was flying at every shift. then when i stoped and looked behind i saw nothing but a blue smoke!!!

I need advices to help my recovering the mistakes made in the above project, and I'm looking for answers for the following questions:

1) what is the Best ECU i can use? (some say stock with SAFC)
2) what is the recommended fuel regulator?
3) what is the best strocker kit i can go for? tommy or Jun?

thanks plz advice me

Well, Motec makes a fine EMS.....the matter of which, was it installed tuned and used right on your vehicle? I dont know. A dyno could always tell and generally an A/F chart will let you know what the motor is doing. Most of the time, tuned properly Evo 4g63 motors can handle a bunch of power, but not if you just throw it at the motor blindly. Good luck

Crazy4Cars: First of all I am not Dr. Drift. And the T-67 is the best complete Turbo Kit for an EVO 7. Its capable of atleast 600whp if you have good fuel and good tuning. Second of all, if his engine blew it doesn't mean that the Turbo is bad, it could be from bad fuel or/and tuning. BTW, what Turbo do you have on your car?

thank u all for your replies,

The latest news is that after opening the engine, we saw three cracked pistons, after disassembling the who parts we noticed that my pistons brand are called "CP" it's the first time i hear of it, conecting rods are mmb or bmm i'm not sure, and the cam shaft's are Tomei 272

I'm planning to order tomei or jun storcker kit can anyone advice of a good source to import these parts from?

Are there any after market ECU's ? I heard that tomei do have some??
