Tools needed for a timing belt job?

I'm going to take my evo VIII to my friend's shop for a timing belt change; he said he will cut me a deal on labor if I help.
He gave me a list of tools I'll need to acquire beforehand in order to change the timing belt:
MD998738 (screw)
MB991367 (spanner)
MD998767 (wrench)

MB991385 (pin?)

I've found where to buy the first three, but can't find the last one (pin). Does anyone know where I can order this?

all what you need is the special mitsu tensioner tool, the restof the tools he should have it at his shop.

Those are the only special tools needed to do change the timing belt, the rest are basic hand tools. The last one is only necessary if you AREN'T changing the timing belt tensioner. If you are changing it, then you don't need that tool.

I gotta be honest with you: I just entered everyone of those part #'s into Mitsubishiparts.net's website and all of those #'s are unknown. I use their site for almost every stock part that I need to get. With the list of tools that I wrote in my previous post, if you friend can't change an Evo timing belt with them, then you need to get someone else who can. Hell, I'd do it for you, but I'm sure you live too far away. Good luck.

$106.03

MD998738

$37.23 (cheaper than Mitsuparts or the AMS copy)

SPX Order Info

MD998767
Replaced by Schley 98700 Tension Pulley Spanner Wrench
Found on STM for $32, can find it at Advance Auto Parts for $19.59

I just priced all this out myself. I am not entirely comfortable putting the crank sprocket on with an impact. I'll take it off with one, no worries there. But I'd rather torque it back on to spec. Or will someone tell me I'm crazy and save me $134.94

I used my impact wrench to put the lower pulley bolt back on. I just set it to half power and gave it just 2-3 seconds.

Also all the tools recommended here are necessary. Be careful with the idler wrench you only have to apply a small amount of torque. In fact in the past I just used my hand to tighten the slack on the idler pulley. Tighten down that nut and check tension by removing the pin and make sure it still goes in without friction after 15mins. After that the belt starts to stretch a little bit. Only turn the engine with timing belt attached!!!!

Thank you so much for this. You just saved me about 60 bucks.

One question though, is the Eccentric Pulley Preload tool in this kit a socket type? I can't tell from the pic but it looks like the actual Mitsu SST, which is a socket type, correct?

Yea you'll use an 8mm (IIRC) wrench/socket on the tool.

For the pin I have always used a small allen wrench.
