Was it that spot on the BQE that turns into a lake??

Glad to see your ****'s ok. I installed a snorkel years ago on a Cold Air Intake, and still managed to hydrolock, so I don't even bother on my cars anymore, and I've driven in multiple feet of snow for hours and hours and never had an issue, so my advice is continue to drive as you did that day, since like you said, flooding isn't usually an issue in Brooklyn.

Pot holes, now that's an issue.
