if you bring it to CA you should get 13000 if you work a good deal. CA pays pretty good for there cars. just make sure the dealer doesnt F you over lol.

 

its too much of a hassle, i would need to look for a cat and pass smog and get a certificate haha. but the main thing is that i can no longer afford the insurance for it

 

if i were you. i would bring the cat with you. you shouldnt need a smog if you are gonna trade it in. usually the dealership will take it off and put on the stock cat if you are willing to deal. if they are cool. good luck though!

 

Bring the car with you! I drive the car in my sig. out to Indiana and back (from Philadelphia) with no issues! Did you ever look for different insurance? I only pay $80 a month full coverage through State Farm. They give you quite a few discounts.

 

If I were you I would shop for insurance and keep the Evo. Civics are nice and have reliability, but having an Evo is so much more fun.

what part of cali are you coming to? personally its bad but a cat shouldnt stop you from bringing the car with you. you can just get at ppl that know a shop. hook you up with the smog. problem solved

 

Los angeles/ san gabriel valley area. And since i will know nobody there im not sure how i can get a cat or smog hook up...

 

Look around for hookups. I'm sure the members on SoCal Evo.net can hook you up with a shop that can smog your car. And shop around for cheaper insurance.

You don't want to sell your car. You will regret it and wish you never did it. Especially if you're gonna get a Honda.

 

I would keep the Evo if at all possible. I have read on these forums too many times about someone getting rid of their Evo and instantly regretting it.

 

I've kept mine in Ohio for a year, so although I owned it still, I hated life because I didn't have it for so long haha. Now it stays in a lot with me in Brooklyn and i couldn't be happier haha. Especially in cali when you see modded evos everywhere, you'll hate yourself.
