parking lights (front and back) do not turn off. Must disconnect battery not to discharge it. Started suddenly. Light switch operable in all modes, but parking lights do not shut down. Any help appreciated...

yes indeed. I have had the srs twice "fixed" by the dealer already, in addition the wipers have gone berserk on 2 occasions as well...

only issue not sure i would feel confident taking on the project, reluctant to go to dealer (doubt they know much about these matters)

live in southern NJ, any suggestions for this repair?

Have an EVO shop or an EVO guy do the job for ya. It's time consuming so expect a hefty labor bill.

Most that work around these cars long enough have seen this issue a few times.
