wastegate and low vaccum

So yesterday I did a slight pull in third gear. And well it was building boost slowly this was the first time I have been in boost since getting tuned. I was thinking about it. But it was late and I had school, work and practice today. And well so today i did another pull in third gear and it didnt build boost to fast but it built boost to about 15 pounds and Im tuned at 22 pounds due to a slipping clutch. And so I go home and looked at my piping and lines. And then I look at the wastegate. And the arm isnt attacted. There is no pin there anymore like i remember there being inst there supposed to be a pin?. Is that the reason of my boost problem?

Thanks

there should be a c-clip locking/holding the actuator arm on. do a search on WGA on here and you'll see people usually recommend 2-3 turns (clock wise/shortening the arm) from where you can freely attach the arm. if the space is tight or you're not strong enough to pull the arm up, then blow compressed air into the line connected to the WG nipple.

go out and see if you spike to the desired boost level. if you overboost, then lessen the preload.

You should check them every so often they tend to rust and break. Its happened to me twice now. Luckily I have a o2 dump so its easy to tell when the arm comes off.
