How is the TDI? I've been extremely interested in trading my Escape in for one.

I'm curious how another Evo owner feels about the TDI. Are you modding your TDI at all for mileage? How is the TDI torque compared to the Evo below 3000rpm?

As for me, my left foot is still broken (week 6) and it feels like *ages* since I've driven my Evo. I switch between my truck and the Evo for daily driving.

Thinking about just having an Evo and the TDI. I really don't need the Escape anymore and my buddy just got a new F-250 with the 8 ft bed. So I don't even need the Escape for hauling large things or moving duty. I'm more interested in a high mpg smaller car for my other car.

 

I DON'T dd my Evo. I autocross with it on the weekends, I figure thats enough wear and tear on it!

I drive a 1997 Subaru (yes, I know...) Outback as a dd. Looking for a old junky civic soon!

well, i dont have an Evo, i have a RA. But anyway i used to DD it until I got a truck about a month ago. Now it sits in the garage unless its a nice day and I have the day off.
