To the OP, gap to .22
Ohm out the spark plug wires too
Iridium spark plugs are not supposed to be gapped because they have platinum on the ground strap. When you gap them, you scrape the material off. That's why they say not to gap them.

Battery and alternator are both good. The starter is bad come to find out, and also it threw a CEL for the Crank Position Sensor tonight. Finally a lead to the issue. Got a new one ordered and will be fixing the car this weekend when it arrives.

Ok so after a couple weeks I am becoming irritated.

The car will fire up, but now its idling not so well. When you rev it a little it fumbles on itself.

I put a brand new crank angle sensor in the car, had it retimed and its still having the same freakin issue.

What has been done:

- New crankshaft angle sensor
- Put known good MAF in
- OEM heat range plugs, and step colder plugs (varying gap)
- New Walbro Pump
- Put known good coils on with known good wires
- Cleaned contact points for both cam sensors
- All vacuum lines are connected properly

Im beginning to think it may be my stock injectors being faulty because I cant think of anything else.
I have a new set of FIC 950cc plug & play injectors in the garage.
Evo gurus advice?

When you swapped coils -- did you swap wires too -- or just the coils?

That's a great picture showing how the material gets scraped off in the gapping process
That's exactly how the material gets scraped and the plug ruined! Good find!

Are you loosing coolant by chance and did you check your timing just cause you got a crank sensor fault doesn't mean the sensors bad and it's clearly not ignition related check your injectors and check if your loosing coolant slso as dumb as this sound try putting different gas in the car you would be amazed at how many cars come to the shop misfiring due to bad gas

do you have a scantool to monitor sensor values? it sounds like it's in the closed loop circuit. no codes? maybe tune? good luck.

There is the right way and there are wrong ways to gap the Iridium plugs. Try not to put pressure on the tip is all.

That's not going to work. You may not scrape a lot of material off, but I would not take a chance of wasting money ruining a plug like that.
